I aim to provide a safe, compassionate and judgement free environment to discuss life challenges and empower clients to identify their strengths, nurture healthy coping strategies, and progress towards their goals.

I have lived in the Swift Current area for the past 33 years. I am from a farming background and was privileged to raise my family on a farm. I have been a registered social worker for 15 years. Most recently, I completed my master’s degree in social work from the University of Regina. I am naturally drawn towards working with people and am passionate about mental and emotional health. My 12 years of experience in a social work health care setting has sharpened my assessment skills, taught me to think and problem solve outside of the box and reinforced my interpersonal skills. My last 3 years of practice have been dedicated to mental health counselling. My lived experiences of farming, parenting and managing a career has enriched my understanding and ability to support clients. I continue to grow my counselling knowledge base to serve adults of all ages in a variety of areas. I use a holistic approach to counselling and strive to provide a safe and trusting environment to build a therapeutic relationship based on mutual respect and a genuine connection.
